Association for Coaching Conference Spring 2008

AC 2008 Registration

The Association for Coaching is a long-standing client of Affinity Events and we were delighted to be involved in its expanded UK conference again this year.  We provided delegate registration, onsite delegate services and onsite management. We also provided a specialist in technical services who supported the 30+ speakers in their PowerPoint and video presentations, resulting in a smooth and stress-free conference for the speakers and conference organisers

“Just to say thanks so much for the brilliant job you and your team did for us.  It was great having you there and your professionalism shone through.”

Sheree Owen, Conference Director, Association for Coaching

AQS December Conference

aqs_conference.jpg

Over the last 12 months (4 events) Affinity Have worked with AQS in vastly improving the look and professionalism of their events to match their expansions in existing markets, new sectors and internationally in the US. Their events are now very different from when we first started working together in 2005, and are indicative of the ways in which Affinity can help to raise the bar in this type of corporate event.

The most recent AQS event comprised the usual one day Franchisee meeting, a one day marketing training session and a full gala dinner with evening entertainment. Again Affinity Events sourced the venue, provided production services and onsite management.

AQS Franchisee Conference

Since 2005 Affinity Events have provided event management, venue finding services and technical support for the franchisee meetings of this national property company. These national meetings take place several times each year, offering training and networking for the franchisees around the country.

‘Thanks for organising another event for us in your usual exemplary fashion.
A number our franchisees commented on how professional the whole thing looked. On my part, knowing some of the technical challenges we set you, I was delighted at how it all came together without any hitches’

As part of their summer activities, Legoland Windsor approached affinity:technical to produce and manage the technical aspects of their Musical Madness weekend. With six shows a day the stage and production teams from Affinity were tasked with providing staging, lighting and sound for audiences of upto 1000 people a show. With two tribute style bands, and as part of the Barney UK tour the weekend was well received by all those who attended. Although the weather was terrible the team worked tirelessly throughout the event - and were completely off site within three hours of the shows finishing.

Wales Open - Ladies Day Club Night

decks.jpg

Ladies Day was a new venture in 2005 for the Wales Open, so organisers had a lot resting on the event. Affinity Events were approached, as part of their ongoing work with the venue, to provide a club night theme for the evening entertainment.

Affinity provided all of the draping to enclose the club room, to separate it from the rest of the main hotel suite in the venue. With lighting, sound and video systems provided by Affinity, as well as a number of inflatables, and a fantastic light-up dance floor, the guests were seen to have an excellent time.

Affinity removed the hassle and stress from an already busy Wales Open team to ensure that the event went smoothly.

When one of the world’s top hotels decided to organise their first ever tennis tournament, one of their first calls was to Affinity Events to assist with the provision of their event infrastructure. The two day event, straight after Wimbledon, was designed as a showcase for Henry Le Conte and Pat Cash. Affinity provided event management support and infrastructure for this prestigious corporate event.

Conference Dinner

Marquee Events

When the conference team at one of the country’s leading trade associations chose Cardiff as the venue for their 2004 conference, there was only one problem - there was nowhere in the city that could cater for the conference dinner - with 760 attendees. The association contacted Affinity Events who proposed a clearspan marquee system, temporary kitchen and toilets.

A team from Affinity were on site for a week building and preparing the site, before returning it to its previous condition.

The pictures show the event laid 24 hours before the guests were due to arrive.
